As uninvited guests studying and working on these lands, we participate in the ongoing dispossession of Indigenous lands and peoples, and we benefit from their resources. We would like to recognize that voting in settler colonial elections is not a substitute for the hard work of decolonization, however, the outcome of these campaigns has serious material consequences for people, particularly the most marginalized within our society.
