3 Talon-approved Events: November 3–10

1. March and Protest Against the Managers of Homelessness

Social Housing Alliance BC is organizing a march to protest against the national Conference on Ending Homelessness and “government policies and NGO industries that manage homeless, low-income, and Indigenous people without challenging or disrupting the systems and social conditions that cause homelessness and poverty.”

$650 (or $400 for students) is the price of a ticket to the conference, which is happening this week in at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre. It’s a 3-day event hosted by the Canadian Alliance on Ending Homelessness and the City of Vancouver (the same City of Vancouver that evicted hundreds from Oppenheimer Park last month) and will be attended primarily by wealthy elites: The Managers of Homelessness.

Please come out and support!
